As part of its continued growth and leadership in the cleanroom glove manufacturing industry, CE Technology Berhad is expanding with the development of Plant D, located on a 5-acre industrial site in Taiping, Perak. This latest addition complements the company’s existing facilities—Plant A, B, and C—and reinforces its position as a global pioneer in high-performance, cleanroom-certified glove production.
The new expansion includes the construction of two state-of-the-art factory warehouses and a three-storey corporate office building, thoughtfully designed to enhance production efficiency while aligning with sustainability principles.
At the core of Plant D is one of the largest cleanroom glove manufacturing plants in the world, housed in a custom-engineered warehouse. In collaboration with structural engineers, the facility is designed with a massive 140ft column-free span within a 200ft-wide structure, extending 450ft in length—providing optimal workflow and scalability. A jack roof system enables natural cross-ventilation, while strategically placed skylights and side windows maximise daylight penetration and reduce the dependency on artificial lighting.
The accompanying three-storey office block is conceived with both performance and environmental sensitivity in mind. Vertical louvres on the west-facing façade act as sun-shading devices, minimising solar heat gain and enhancing interior comfort. In line with CE Technology Berhad’s sustainability goals, the building features a rainwater harvesting system and an energy recovery solution that captures waste heat from washer and dryer systems to power a centralised air-conditioning system—aiming to achieve certification under the Green Building Index (GBI).
Further underscoring its dedication to environmental stewardship, CE Technology Berhad is now a registered member of the Bursa Carbon Exchange, as part of its broader commitment to achieving net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This forward-looking expansion of Plant D embodies the company’s core values of innovation, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.
